Working with Marc over many years, Keith took thousands of images of the elfin rocker on tour, in the studio and off-guard.
Introduced by his manager and mutual friend, the ever-controversial Tony Secunda, Marc was already a star when Keith met him in 1971 and he instantly understood the musical transition that Marc was making from acoustic warbler to prototypical glam rocker. For three years Keith chronicled Marc and T.Rex’s relentless ascent, accompanying them on their 1972 American tour where Get It On/Bang A Gong was then their first U.S. hit and becoming de facto set photographer on Born To Boogie, the movie directed by Ringo Starr in which Marc starred along with Elton John and Ringo himself.
